![]() edit : I would be more than happy if Plex just plays the subs I put with the show/movie :) Refreshed metadata, stopped/started Plex (& PMS), but nothing helps :( * Prefer subtitles in = Nederlands (=Dutch) Tried with adding 'nl' tag (for Dutch subtitles) to the set, so like ' Dexter - .srt", but doesn't help The 'bullet' in the audio/subtitles menu in Plex is NOT on by default, ' Subtitles' says 'none' The only way for me to see subtitles is to browse for them manually. Subs are not picked automaticallyI'm struggling with the problem that my subtitles are not shown by default my Plex (PMS & Plex 0.9.3.4).įollowed the instructions as in the " Subtitles Screencast", followed naming conventions, etc, but it does't work : Whats the deal here? Update corrupted the database? Do i need to restore from backup? Obviously the PMS Web is saying things like "There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard" and when trying to optimize the library "an error occurred" These errors happened in the log after the updateġ5:47:42.649 ERROR - SQLITE3:0x7000004ab270, 1, no such index: index_metadata_item_views_on_grandparent_guidġ5:47:42.653 ERROR - SQLITE3:0x7000004ab270, 11, database corruption at line 57498 of ġ5:47:42.653 ERROR - SQLITE3:0x7000004ab270, 11, statement aborts at 15: ġ5:47:42.654 ERROR - Exception inside transaction (inside=1) (./Library/DatabaseMigrations.cpp:188): sqlite3_statement_backend::loadOne: database disk image is malformed Why there is no longer any option to install older versions of Plex Server is beyond me - the minimum system requirements just suddenly changed and there's no official way to go back. Hope this helps and is not too redundant. You should be back up and running your previous version of choice. You'll be left with a folder called "Contents".įind the Plex Media Server.app file in your Applications folder, right click it and select "show contents".ĭelete the Contents folder within the app, and copy the newly unzipped Contents folder there instead. Within each version folder there will be a folder called "packages", containing a manifest file and a zip.Ĭopy the zip somewhere (ie, a temp folder) and decompress it. There you'll see a list of folders with various version names. Go to ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Updates (if your home library folder is hidden, go to Finder->Go->Go To Folder. All you need to do to roll back is the following: It would have been nice if the updater had checked for that first before installing, but thankfully the updater keeps all installed versions on file. So, it turns out the latest Plex Server update is no longer compatible with my version of OSX. Since no amount of searching seems to be turning anything up, figured I'd post here. As a bonus, episodes now are correctly marked as watched after I watch them. In the end, I rolled back to PMS 0.9.16 (link below if anyone needs it), and now the problem is fixed. ![]() Thinking perhaps there was a permissions problem, I changed all permissions in the hard drives to 777 and removed all extended attributes (the permission), but that didn't help either. I updated the PMS libraries, emptied trashes, optimized the database, and cleaned bundles. The computer is a 2012 Mac Mini OS X 10.9.5, all files are stored locally on external hard drives, and I verified that PMS had the correct file paths for several files in the TV shows I tried shuffling. If I go to All Episodes and then shuffle, everything is fine. Unable to play media: Please check that this file exists Since upgrading to PMS 1.0.0, I get the following error when trying to shuffle TV shows from the main TV show screen: Your Plex Media Server should now properly indicate when an update is available.Just a heads up in case anyone else has this problem. Optionally first check to see if you have a value stored for that key by typing:ĭefaults read ~/Library/Preferences/ ButlerTaskUpdateVersionSkippedĭefaults delete ~/Library/Preferences/ ButlerTaskUpdateVersionSkipped Open Terminal.app in Applications, Utilities.ģ. Quit the Plex Media Server app by clicking on the icon in the menu bar and clicking Quit.Ģ. ![]() A borked version got released which had a higher numerical value causing the server to never find an update.ġ. On macOS you have to delete a preference key for the last time the server was updated. I’ve manually reinstalled the latest server copy several times and it still hasn’t updated automatically. Since November of last year (roughly) I’ve noticed that the Plex Media Server app doesn’t ever show that there are updates available.
